Write a Letter
to the Editor
Letters to the Post are an integral part of the community’s voice and we want to hear from you. Here’s how to submit your letter:
Letters deadline
Noon on the Wednesday before publication.
Contact details required
The POST needs your name and residential address, plus a daytime phone number for verification. House numbers, phone numbers and email addresses are not published and will not be used for any other purpose, nor will they be passed on without your permission.
The briefer the better
Letters may be edited for clarity and those longer than 300 words may be cut, so we can publish as many letters as possible each week.
Confidentiality
We will not print letters without the author’s details unless there is a good reason not to – such as a letter from a whistle-blower, or someone in a hazardous personal or legal situation. If you want your details withheld from publication, please say why in the ‘not-for-publication’ comments. You will still need to provide your name and address.
Got a tip or a story idea?
Every time a sparrow falls in Perth’s western suburbs, its reported in the POST. So if you know of something happening in your neighbourhood that you think is worth writing about, tell us! We want to hear from you.
And if you’re travelling, take a copy of the POST with you. We love receiving POSTcards from far flung corners of the world, it makes us feel like we’re on holiday too!
